Cherokee swings far more in level than Tellico or Chickamauga — about 25 feet between summer and winter pool — which is enough that a fixed dock built for summer pool can be left high and dry by winter. The lake runs from Jefferson City through Mooresburg and into the Bean Station area, with both protected coves and exposed main-channel shoreline.
Most Cherokee builds are aluminum-frame floating systems that ride the full 25-foot swing, with integrated Floatair lifts and a covered slip. On the most protected coves that hold depth through drawdown, we also build fixed pile-driven boathouses with Tide Tamer lifts.

Four disciplines, one crew, one barge. From the posts up through the rooftop deck rail — spec’d to your lake, sized to your hull, built for a lifetime of use.

Pile-driven boathouses with covered slips, metal roofs, and marine hardware for stable shorelines.

How It Works →Floating systems are the most common build here. Here's why — and what else works depending on your shoreline.
Aluminum-frame floating dock with pile-guided anchoring and integrated Floatair lift. Rides Cherokee's seasonal drawdown without leaving your boat stranded at winter pool.
Open-deck pavilion build for properties that want the deck more than the covered slip.
Mostly floating. With about a 25-foot seasonal swing, floating systems are the practical default on Cherokee — they ride the drawdown without stranding your boat. The most protected coves that hold depth can still take a fixed boathouse; we pick the right path on the site visit.
Cherokee is shallower and warmer than Norris, with more residential lake-front and a different feel. Both are TVA reservoirs requiring 26a permits.
Yes — every Cherokee build gets a 26a application filed and paid by us, with permit review managed through approval.
